Dine Out, Maryland! is a state-wide, month-long program encouraging Maryland diners to patron RAM participating restaurants from September 1 through September 30, 2012. In partnership with Share Our Strength’s, No Kid Hungry initiative, the mission of Dine Out, Maryland! is to raise money and awareness to help end childhood hunger in Maryland.
The Restaurant Association of Maryland (RAM) is a 2000 member strong statewide trade association operated for the purpose of promoting, protecting and improving the foodservice and hospitality industries in Maryland. The mission of the association is simply to Help Maryland Restaurants Succeed.
For over 75 years RAM has been working to educate lawmakers on how important restaurants are to the economy and to the community at large. Restaurants employ 9% of the Maryland workforce and for every dollar spent in restaurants, 91 cents goes into the state's economy. Restaurants provide healthful options for guests, give back to their communities through countless donations and continually work to reduce their impact on the environment.
RAM works for restaurants by offering endorsed and discount programs that help save time and money, promotes restaurants through industry events and partnerships, and helps drive business through programs like the widely popular Dining Gift Certificate Program.
